The Beach Express allows a manual wheelchair user to easily access the beach without transferring out of the wheelchair. It consists of a base support frame with two large low pressure balloon wheels that hover over the sand. Small spring loaded entrance ramps flip down, allowing a manual wheelchair to drive onto the frame from the rear. A long handle extends from the front providing leverage for a partner to push or pull the rider with ease.
 
The handle and each wheel disassemble without the use of tools and the whole unit can fit in the trunk of a small car. 
 
The structural components are marine grade stainless steel and will provide years of maintenance free use. Compatible with rigid manual wheelchairs with 22 to 26 inch wheels, 14 to 19 inch seat width, and a rigid front foot plate (see photo for foot plate type).
